Our Mission:
.............................
To deliver a professional live music experience that is high in musical quality, professional in stagecraft, consistent in content, and administered effectively with an open exchange of ideas between, performer, management and client.
Junction 21 Productions grew out of Junction 21 Show Band, which began providing live entertainment in 1999. Junction 21's band leader, Chris Tidmarsh, was surprised at the frequency of which he encountered musical acts not suited to the environment they performed in. He consistently noticed venues with either inappropriate acts or, quite simply, bands who were not produced to meet and deliver the high standards that the venues were demanding. Chris was determined to use his experience to create more bands based around the ideals of his own Junction 21 show band; a diverse repertoire with a variety of themed shows, the highest musical and production quality, professionalism, and a fun, energetic live music experience for audiences around the world. With this in mind, he set out to find the individuals who had the potential to meet this demanding criteria and thus, Junction 21 Productions was born.
Chris
Tidmarsh - Director
Chris Tidmarsh hails from Leicester, England, where he began his
career as a shop fitter after graduating from college as a
master craftsman in the wood trades. Having owned his own shop
fitting business for over 5 years, his passion for music and
media took him to Leicester University where quickly he found
himself working in a Television studio making educational and
advertising videos. This experience in digital media allowed him
to acquire skills in video editing, audio recording, and video
camera operation and engineering.
Music, always being his passion from an early age, finally
insisted that he 'give up the day job' and turn music
professional; which he did in 1999. Testing the water, so to
speak, he joined his first fully professional band on the
Norwegian Sea cruise ship. He returned, realizing this was to be
his new life, and quickly organized his own band; Junction 21.
Ten years on, Chris still enjoys the lifestyle that being a musician allows.
Wanting to share his experiences and provide opportunities and management
for aspiring young musicians, Chris has ultimately fledged a new venture in
Junction 21 Productions. Junction 21 Productions provides a source of
musical quality for prospective clients and a fun, friendly,
experienced production house for talented entertainment
professionals looking to find continuity of employment in this
challenging business.
"If it can be done, you can do it. However it's not enough just
to want it; you have to work hard to be lucky!"
